Training

QuickBooks Training Courses for Small Business Owners, Accountants and Individuals


Simon Palmer & Associates Limited (SPA) is offering QuickBooks training courses.  If you want to know how to set up your QuickBooks® software to track vital information, or how to extract it, analyse it, and then implement it into action, that will improve your understanding of your finances, this class is for you.  The cost of each training course is JA$9,000 plus GCT (for two half-days).  Each session is limited to a maximum of 6 individuals, so make your reservations early.


Tutor

The courses will be instructed by instructors with many years experience utilising QuickBooks® software. Clive Palmer is our principal tutor.  Clive has taught many QuickBooks classes as well as providing consultancy and technical assistance to various clients and staff.

 

The courses we offer focus on teaching how to

 

v     Customize your QuickBooks program for efficient daily input of all activities

v     Review your balance sheet, and profit/loss accounts

v     Review your accounts receivable and accounts payable reports

 

 Other topics include:                    

v     Bank reconciliation                       

v     Inventory control                           

v     Cash disbursements

v     Budgeting   

v     Management Reporting

v     Customer invoicing        

The classes will be taught utilising QuickBooks Pro® version 2010.  However, do not be concerned if you are using a different version of QuickBooks®, all the versions essentially operate the same way. 

The training session will review the general company set-up and operations of cheque writing, bank reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable and reporting functions.  The students will enter sample transactions in all areas covered in the class.  We will focus on utilizing QuickBooks to provide timely useable information and customizing the QuickBooks program for efficient daily input of all activities.

Other topics to be covered will be inventory tracking, budgeting, cash disbursements and the interface of QuickBooks with Microsoft Office.

We will review common problems we have encountered in the use of the program as well as common reports used by business owners and provide helpful hints in creating other useful reports.

We should have time at the end of the class to answer specific questions that were not covered during the class.

People attending are highly encouraged to bring a list of questions and a back-up copy of their QuickBooks® company file.

 The courses will focus on the following:

v     Customize your QuickBooks® program

v     Create and design custom reports

v     Review your balance sheet, your profit/loss and budgets versus actual results

v     Review your accounts receivable and accounts payable reports

v     QuickBooks® graphs

v     Developing report packages

v     QuickBooks® security features

 

 

Registration Deadline

For timely administration, we encourage all participants to register for the courses at least one week before the start of each course.  The final deadline for late registration is three days before the course starts. Payments

All course fees are due prior to the start of the course.  Payments may be made by cash, certified or company cheque at our office, located at 37 Windsor Avenue, Kingston 5.

Alternatively, payments may be deposited to our bank account # 332602195 at NCB Manor Centre.

A         All course fees include a non-refundable registration fee of $500.

 

Refund Policy 

Course fees may be refunded in full (less registration fee) prior to the commencement of the course. Refunds will generally not be possible after the course commences, however, consideration will be given in extreme situations (such as serious illness) provided appropriate evidence is presented. All requests for refunds must be made in writing to the Managing Director, Mr Clive Palmer, at 37 Windsor Avenue, Kingston 5.

 

Schedules

Simon Palmer & Associates (SPA) reserves the right to reschedule courses due to insufficient participation. Registered participants will be notified of all rescheduled courses.

Awards

On completion of each course a Certificate of Participation is awarded to each student.
